Insurance Brokers Association of Newfoundland proud to donate $50,000 to Daffodil Place
(St. John’s, NL) – The Daffodil Place Campaign today announced a gift of $50,000 from the Insurance Brokers Association of Newfoundland (IBAN) and the association Young Brokers Committee. IBAN is an association of insurance brokers in Newfoundland and Labrador. Insurance brokers work on behalf of clients to secure the best coverage in the market from the most trusted and secure, federally regulated insurance companies.
Campaign Cabinet Member Derek Hiscock was delighted to be on hand for the announcement. Hiscock says ‘we are very pleased to have IBAN as a Partner in the Campaign to build Daffodil Place. It is a privilege to have the commitment of IBAN and the Young Brokers Committee for this very worthwhile cause”.
Robert Dunne, President of IBAN, is extremely proud of the commitment which has been made by the association members and their staff. “This is another way that insurance brokers continue to provide support back to our community.”
Janice March, Chair of the Young Brokers Committee was very happy in making the gift to Daffodil Place. March says, “As young brokers we are committed to giving back to the community and certainly this gift to Daffodil Place is one way that we are ensuring that we do our part for the community”.

The Daffodil Place Campaign has now reached $4.4 million. Construction of Daffodil Place has begun with the doors scheduled to open in early 2009. The 24-suite facility will provide accommodations for those who must travel to St. John's for cancer treatment. For more information please visit www.daffodilplace.ca
