E & O Loss Control Session

This year IBAN is offering an additional Loss Control Session for members taking part in the Association's professional liability program.  Attendees from IBAN will have the capability to attend in person OR virtually.

This session will also be opened up to brokerages who are members of the other Atlantic broker associations (virtual only) who take part in their provincial liability program through Swiss Re. 

TIME: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm (NST)

SITE: Delta St. John's Hotel, 120 New Gower St. (in person only open to IBAN members)

COST: FREE for IBAN, IBANS, IBANB and IBAPEI brokerage members

Topics will include: risk, methods to reduce or control that risk, sources of claims and what to do if a claim occurs, systems and controls along with standard procedures and the role they play in operating a brokerage and in protecting against claims.  Case studies will highlight problem areas, potential solutions and issues .

Please note that this session does not replace the annual one held by the other Atlantic association's but is being provided as an additional opportunity to provide staff training.  Hugh Fardy is an approved trainer of the Swiss Re program so credit for attendance will be taken into consideration as part of participating brokerages annual discount. This session will not be recorded.
